The Most Important Years
You will meet all types of people here–44 countries are represented among our students, parents, and staff. However, we have one thing in common. Our warm and friendly community—true to the Episcopal tradition—welcomes and celebrates a diversity of faiths, cultures, and heritages.
Our diversity creates a rich learning environment for our students. Teachers invite students and families to share their backgrounds and important cultural events in the classroom, as we seek to celebrate our differences.
Research shows that some of the most critical brain development takes place before children even reach Kindergarten; the right Early Childhood program can set your child up for lasting success. Washington Episcopal School's preschool and kindergarten curriculum educates the whole child with hands-on exploration, learning, and fun through the power of play. Our dedicated faculty will nurture your child’s potential, character growth, and social-emotional development so they can become their best self.

Early Childhood
We believe in the power of play. Your child will build foundational academic skills through hands-on learning and a play-based curriculum. They will begin to develop a lifelong love of learning, and their curiosity and passions will be awakened through classes such as art, music, wellness, science, and world language. The playground is an extension of our classroom, and our students enjoy 3 recesses per day, plus P.E. 3 times a week.
Elementary School
As our students move through Lower School, they delve into increasingly more complex ideas and project-based learning. Your child will be both visible and valued as they build their critical-thinking, creative problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Our award-winning STEM program begins in Grade 2, challenging our students to create a different invention every year. Competitive sports begin in Grade 5.
Middle School
Our Middle School program builds independence and responsibility, as our students develop executive functioning, public-speaking, and leadership skills. Our curriculum increases in rigor to prepare students for an ever-changing world. All Middle School students travel to Southwest Utah in Grade 6, Italy in Grade 7, and France or Spain in Grade 8. Trips are included in the tuition price; there is no additional cost and every student participates.
